Job description
Rework Solder Specialist
Contract to Hire
First shift - 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Summary - Excellent knowledge of soldering all Thru-hole and SMT components
- Follow visual aides, instructions and established guidelines to perform job
- Use quality practices and procedures to ensure the assemblies are accurately and effectively manufactured
- Follow written processes and or rework instructions to complete product thru the soldering stage of manufacturing
- Assembly, disassembly, modification, rework and repair of various electrical and mechanical systems by interpreting technical drawing packages, process sheets or other specifications
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of own work
- Maintain a clean and neat work area
- Performs other duties and assigned as needed
Skills - Experience with using small hand tools and complex tooling such as ovens, soldering irons, hot plates, microscopes, forming tools, screen printers etc..
- Rework of small form factor work using fine pitch soldering techniques
- Proven ability to read and use technical drawings, wire lists, schematics, process sheets and ECO's.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Formal or on the job experience for specific soldering duties
- IPC-A-610 and J-STD solder certifications required
- IPC-7711/7721 Certification required
Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED or equivalent job experience
2 years experience
