Description We are seeking a Contracts Specialist to work along with us in partnerships with government agencies and non-profit organizations. As a Contracts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of contract management within the organization. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of contracts, from drafting and negotiation to execution and review. This position requires exceptional communication, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of legal contracts. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with various departments to develop and implement contract strategies that meet the organization's needs. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify contractual risks and provide guidance on minimizing potential liabilities. Additionally, you will maintain and update contract templates and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and grant agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their unique needs and develop contract strategies accordingly.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating potential contractual risks.
- Work closely with legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records, including contract templates and related documentation.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
- Resolve any contractual disputes or issues that may arise in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred .
- Proven experience working in contract management, ideally in a non-profit or similar setting.
- Knowledge of contract law and relevant legal principles.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environments.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
