Job description
REQUIREMENTS: Board certified in neurology and completion of at least one year of fellowship training and board eligible/certified in Neurocritical care. Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
GENERAL DUTIES: This faculty member must be a licensed physician and neurologist with special expertise in Neurocritical care and will have responsibilities in direct patient care, teaching, research, and medical service, as they pertain to the general mission of SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and practical skills in critical care neurology, including ventilatory management, invasive monitoring, intra-cranial pressure management, neurologic diagnosis and management, neuroimaging, neurotrauma, and stroke management. This faculty member will provide care for critically ill patients with neurologic and neurosurgical illnesses and will serve in a multidisciplinary critical care team. Can participate in inpatient stroke service at Saint Louis University Hospital.
