Job description

Summary of Duties:

Present lectures in industry marketing events on Credit Scoring about the usage of artificial intelligence and machine learning models on credit decisioning and collection. Enable presales consultants to sell risk modeling and decisioning solutions. Develop accelerators and other collateral to support pre sales activities for SAS risk products and services. Present demos and proof of concepts on risk modeling and credit decisioning solutions to a specialized audience of financial credit modelers, credit portfolio managers and data scientists. Fill Requests for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposals (RFP) on credit solutions. Support the sales team in defining software packaging and sales strategy. Support the professional services team on designing the implementation strategy. Size the required infrastructure required to support the processing workload. Support the cloud hosting cost estimation. Work with sales staff to outline available products and leverage sales opportunities. Build a trusted relationship with the Account Executive and account stakeholders to provide practical guidance in the functional and technical aspects of proposed software and set proper expectations to ensure customer satisfaction. Deliver standard, customized and/or strategic presentations outlining the proposed software functional capabilities, competitive advantages and business benefits. Deliver technical architecture related information, lead technical discovery sessions, respond to architecture and infrastructure questions when necessary. Develop required client relationships in order to develop client trust and gain deeper insight to client situation, needs, and internal situations, with the intent of developing mutually beneficial long-term SAS/client relationships. Maintain and develop relevant knowledge levels of technical and industry trends in order to identify impacts and opportunities created by these trends. Support partner development and enablement, as well as partnered sales opportunities. Conduct discovery meetings to collect, clarify and document technical and business requirements during the sales cycle. Plan and implement customer retention and post-sale strategies to ensure account satisfaction. Provide demonstration and business development support at vendor-sponsored events, trade shows, and user group meetings. Develop familiarity with company sales initiatives, product positioning, pricing, proposals, and models. Strategize with sales team on objectives of customer meetings, understanding how this activity relates to overall sales plan and provide functional leadership for sales opportunities. Participate in product, solution and/or technical training to acquire and maintain detailed level of product knowledge of core components of SAS offerings. Work pro-actively with the extended account team of Industry Consultants, Solution Architects and Technical Architects to strategize on opportunities, cross training and knowledge transfer. Apply intermediate to advanced knowledge of SAS products and solutions in sales opportunities. Utilize current SAS strategic selling techniques with account executives to strategize on prospects and develop strategic sales objective. May work remotely pursuant to SAS Flexible Work Policy. Travel is required across the U.S. and Canada 15% of the time.

 

Qualifications: 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as a Credit Modeler, Financial Market Data Scientist, Analytical Consultant, Risk Manager, or a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field of study, or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year as a Credit Modeler, Financial Market Data Scientist, Analytical Consultant, Risk Manager, or a related occupation.

 

Position requires experience with SQL, machine learning, SAS coding, open source Coding, systems architecture, and information systems integration. Requires experience with Credit risk modeling, credit model validation process, credit risk decisioning, or credit collections process on the financial market. Travel is required across the U.S. and Canada 15% of the time.
