Dental Assistant for General Dentist

We are looking for someone who is positive, confident, compassionate, resilient, and outgoing. Our successful Oakbrook Terrace dental office which offers advanced cosmetic, restorative and nonsurgical periodontal therapies in a total health and family environment is looking for an enthusiastic dental assistant to join our team. 

No experience is necessary.

This position is ideal for someone who is:

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the private dental office or university/hospital dental clinic, willing to train
• Must have excellent people skills
• Must have manual dexterity 
• Must be able to communicate in a passionate way
• Must be a proactive self-starter
• Must be able to multitask 
• Must be a team player
• Ability to assist dentist
• Ability to take a patient's medical history and vital signs 
• Ability to clean, disinfect and sterilize instruments
• Ability to set up and breakdown operatories
• Ability to take digital radiographs 
• Ability to educate patients on dental treatment 
• Discuss affordable financing options available
• Willing to help at the front desk
• Must be a dog lover because our guests love our therapy dogs

Preferred and a plus:

• Coronal polishing certification
• Sealant placement certification
• Digital scanning knowledge 
• Ceramic staining and glazing skills
• Knowledge of Dentrix 
• Knowledge of Dental Intel 
• Knowledge of the Mango phone system
• Bilingual
• Cross-trained front desk/dental assistant

Office hours are as follows:

• M: 11 am - 7 pm
• T: 7 am - 1 pm
• W: 7 am - 3 pm
• Th: 11 am - 7 pm
• F: 7 am - 1 pm 
• Sa and Su: Closed
