Job description
Software Engineer, Data, DoorDash, Inc., San Francisco, CA. Work alongside world-class data science and machine learning teams. Take ownership end-to-end, from defining the data architecture to implementing data models pipelines, monitoring and quality assurance frameworks. Unify data from multiple data sources using SQL, Python, and other languages to unlock business insights. Manage a portfolio of pipelines and data marts that empower analysts and data scientists across the company. Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementations. Ensure that processed data meets our high-quality standards. Continuously improve and optimize our jobs to hit performance targets. Telecommuting Permitted. (SWED-S-102-CA).
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Salary Range: $186,846 to $238, 000/year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field of software/data engineering, program analysis, or related occupation.
In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in the field of software/data engineering, program analysis, or related occupation.
Qualifying experience must include two (2) years in at least five (5) of the following skills (which may be gained concurrently):
Program languages PHP, Python, or Java;
Database technologies such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Mongo DB or similar;
Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, or similar;
AWS;
Data visualization via BI platforms such as Tableau;
Development of data processing pipelines; and
Data modeling.
Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
