The Recovery Closeout and Debris Division partners with Federal and State agencies, local governments, some Private non-profits, and other Cal OES personnel to secure supplemental grants through the Federal and State PA grant programs so communities can recover from major disasters or emergencies. The Support Unit Staff Services Analyst for this division will work closely with the Program Manager II, collaborate with senior Analysts, Program Specialists, and other Program Managers to provide administrative, programmatic, training, and technical support to grant program staff and applicants.

Under the supervision of the Recovery Program Manager II, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) performs a variety of analytical and administrative less difficult and complex duties relating to the provision of federal and state disaster assistance grant programs within the Cal OES Recovery Operations Directorate. Recovery Operations SSA performs a broad range of entry level analytical tasks relating to financial, programmatic, and administrative requirements of the Public Assistance (PA) Disaster Grant, California Disaster Assistance Act (CDAA), Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG), Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), Pre-Disaster Mitigation program (PDM), Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA), and other disaster and non-disaster grant programs.

Working Conditions

This position is located in the Closeout & Debris Support Unit in Mather. 

Telework: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule which includes up to two days of remote work per week. Additional in office days may be required based on the business need.

DMV Pull Program: Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required. The position(s) require(s) a valid Driver’s License (DL). You must answer the questions addressing your DL on your application. Ensure you provide your DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
