Microbiologist
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Microbiology Technician to work for a major Contract Manufacturing Facility in Totowa, New Jersey. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting microbiological testing using Charles River methods, ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our innovative and dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Perform microbiological testing on bulk and finished goods using Charles River methods.
Manage day-to-day microbiological testing operations independently, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Utilize aseptic technique and maintain a sterile laboratory environment.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company protocols.
Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and data interpretation.
Troubleshoot equipment and testing procedures as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve testing processes and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
Previous experience with microbiological testing methods, preferably using Charles River instrumentation.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and laboratory safety protocols.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Flexibility to work variable hours as needed to accommodate testing schedules.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a contract packaging facility or cosmetic manufacturing environment is a plus.
