Job Description:


Intentionally cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for staff and all (Phillips Center, Baughman Center, University Auditorium) visitors. Ensure accessible, fair, and equitable treatment for everyone in our diverse and valued team.


Advance communication with coordinators for events at the University Auditorium to deliver all event requirements. Review production and patron services needs, estimate costs, prepare rental agreements, resource requisitions and event documentation, and subsequent expense reports. Disseminate information to resource providers including especially UFPA event services staff. Provide ongoing collegial and thorough collaboration with supervisor and the UFPA venue and event services team. 20%


Plan, confirm and coordinate production services (staging, lighting, audio, video, artist services, etc.) for all events at the University Auditorium. 20%


Manage venue rental and the facility calendar for the University Auditorium. Facility management for the University Auditorium, including facility scheduling, rental coordination and contracting, management of University Auditorium events, supervision and scheduling of employees and other resources for the Auditorium. 20%


Manage venue/event services employees, typically about a dozen OPS/Student employees, including but not limited to employee recruitment, hiring, orientation within the UFPA on-boarding framework, training, assignment, supervision, and evaluation. 10%


Manage and directly supervise the venue for events on site as needed. Supervise other UFPA venues for events as needed and assigned. 10%


Track and report to UFPA Director of Operations the progress and expenses for event services delivered at the University Auditorium. Develop budgets for University Auditorium operations, and track expenditures to endure budget compliance. 10%


Ensure safe and effective work practices through planning, documentation, training and performance review. 5%


Ensure the upkeep, maintenance, repair, and enhancement of University Auditorium venues, systems, and equipment. 5%

Expected Salary:


$48,000-$54,000 commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:


A college degree in relevant performing arts production training and two years supervisory experience in large-scale performing arts touring/facility work strongly preferred.
