Job Designation
InVeris Training Solutions is seeking an International Contracts/Commercial Manager to join its Contracts/Commercial team. The Contract Manager works closely with the Commercial Director and is instrumental in the continued success of the function, specifically International Contracts. The right candidate will conduct cradle-to-grave international contract administration for several contracts, to include administering contract performance of prime and subcontracts, performing subcontract administration duties, conducting agreement negotiation, proposal preparation, and other duties as required. The contracts will be supply, service, and construction contracts. The ideal candidate will have thorough and deep understanding/knowledge of International laws and policies, to include Australia, Canada, Qatar, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and the UK.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Administers complex cradle-to-grave contract activities including contract modifications & compliance associated with maintaining and administering International Government and Commercial contracts, teaming agreements, proprietary information agreements, non-disclosure agreement, along with understanding of management, organization, planning and controls.
- Review and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA).
- Performs subcontract administration tasks, preparing funding documents and purchase requisitions, reviewing and tracking of invoices, soliciting cost proposals analyzing estimates to completion, and closeouts.
- Manage and maintain all information on contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency with industry standards, corporate and regulatory policies and procedures
- Customer-focused with capability to resolve contracting issues while meeting company requirements/guidelines.
- Clearly explain contract terminology and contract risks to internal stakeholders and other interested parties in simple, everyday language.
- Take ownership of more complex non-standard agreements
- Facilitating internal contract approval and escalating complex legal and factual issues to the appropriate internal stakeholders
- Providing advice and support on a broad range of contractual matters including data privacy.
- Identify risks and suggest alternatives that lead to best position for international contract supporting process improvement initiatives in a continued effort to streamline contract related processes to improve turnaround times in support international contract actions
- Provide briefings to the sales community and ongoing contract guidance relating to terms and conditions, balancing the client’s requirements with those of the internal stakeholders, mitigating legal risk exposure
- Understand and comply with local international regulations
- Understand product business and ensure deviations are managed in accordance with the escalation guidelines.
Job Specifications - Four-year degree (BA/BS) with 3 years’ experience or Minimum 7 years of combined experience with contract development, negotiations, and management.
- 3+ years’ experience in construction contract review with proven contract negotiations skills.
- Assesses contractual and commercial risk and provides appropriate advice to the Commercial Director.
- Ability to facilitate conversations with internal and external stakeholders to build trust and understanding.
- Recognizing complexity in problems and applying appropriately complex thought processes to formulate pragmatic solutions. Conceptual and innovative thinker able to articulate complex ideas both legal and technical in nature.
- Able to notice patterns in data and turn them into useful insights.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Decisive and timely decision making.
- Strong command of MS Office products, especially MS Word, Access, and Excel.
- Tcompliance for 3^rd Party due diligence.
