POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will partner with the Director of Merchandise Store Planning to oversee the implementation and maintenance of planograms within our Blue Yonder Space Planning System. They will work closely with the internal merchant teams and external brands to merchandise items on fixtures that meet our standards and meet the needs of our guests. This role work with multiple cross functional leaders to ensure an effective planogram implementation in stores. The candidate will have multiple direct reports and need to evaluate the current team processes and look for opportunities to elevate responsibilities and improve the way we work.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planogram Implementation: Lead the development and execution of planograms (1500+ Live Versions) in accordance with merchandising strategies, product assortments, and space allocation guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Planning, Inventory, Assortment Analytics,Visual, IT and store operations to ensure alignment of planograms with business objectives and customer needs.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor team members on planogram execution processes, Blue Yonder software functionalities, and industry best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains within the planogram execution workflow.
- Project Management: Manage multiple planogram projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring timely delivery of results.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Blue Yonder Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for Blue Yonder Space Planning software, providing guidance and support to the team on best practices, system capabilities, and troubleshooting.
- Communication: Present and influence complex ideas with the ability to translate them into simple digestible documentation for team members.
- Strategic Vision: Support the translation of a long-term vision/roadmap into actionable project charters that define project scope, timing, resource requirements, budget, etc.
- Process Governance: Lead the adherence to planogram process milestones in order to meet deliverables and plan team bandwidth accordingly.
- Documentation: Maintains Documentations that support Space Planning.
- Mock Store Management: Coordinate calendar of events, maintain organization of floor sets, support cross functional teams in product and visual deliveries.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Proficiency in Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning software is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail operations, space planning, or merchandising.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or related field preferred.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Strong working knowledge in, Word, Excel, Access, and Power-Point
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and quality assurance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Typical office environment at ULTA Corporate Office.
- Mock Store set up and maintenance.
- Minimal travel may be required for quarterly visits to local stores, prototype stores and related seminars as needed.
The pay range for this position is $84,000.00 - $113,500.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
