Quality Manager- Peoria
The Quality Manager Works to attain zero injuries, zero process incidents, zero distribution incidents, and zero environmental incidents. Direct and develop process and quality control functions. Member of site Leadership Team. Maintains and reviews laboratory records in compliance with ISO 9001 and EFfCI.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide leadership and appropriate coaching and performance feedback to all members of the Quality Control and Process Improvement teams. Provide goals to direct reports and complete annual performance reviews and ensure development of all members.
Direct the quality assurance activities to ensure ongoing compliance and certification to the ISO 9001 and EFfCI Standards. Direct the quality control activities to ensure quality products, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction in compliance with ISO 9001 and EFfCI requirements. Represent quality during ISO 9001, EFfCI, and customer audits.

In collaboration with others, determines root cause and resolve quality issues and customer complaints
Capture and reports Mapleton’s KPI’s, i.e. FTR, Customer Complaints
Ensure customer complaints and corrective actions are handled according to procedure and resolved in a timely manner
Provide a presence and accessibility throughout the site to ensure a visible commitment to quality. Regularly communicate the importance of quality and represents quality during operation and facility changes. Lead the monthly Quality Council meeting to ensure progress
Exercise Quality Leadership by working collaboratively with site leaders Lead the Annual Quality Management Review and assist to identify continuous improvement opportunities and goal objectives for the upcoming year. Capture and reports KPI’s and leads monthly Quality Council to ensure progress of implemented actions to various quality issues., i.e. Cost of Quality, Cpk
Monitor quality program adherence through periodic review of work instructions, methods, documents, records, and data. Identifies areas of improvement within the Quality department and providing Quality procedure approval. Responsible for data maintenance and accuracy in quality management system. Ensure MCP’s for site are accurate per internal procedures. Conducts tasks in accordance with appropriate standard operating procedure, work instructions, etc
Qualifications & Experience:
5 to 15 years of chemical manufacturing quality experience. Engineering degree is best....
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to facilitate discussions with all internal
Strong organization and problem-solving
Experience managing medium to large, complex and/or multiple jobs at one
Strong computer skills: Windows based PC programs; (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook,)
Experience in quality must have an understanding of the chemical industry.
Experience developing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control
Experience managing regulatory and third-party
Ability to provide leadership in the area of quality and food
Excellent communication skills both written and oral, and ability to work effectively with
Must be able to lead team members
Certified in HACCP and Internal Auditor
Understanding of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, SQF Code, Food
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise discretion in a competent manner.
