Responsibilities :
- Analyze and predict buying trends, market dynamics, and pricing fluctuations.
- Engage in effective negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and cost reductions.
- Lead initiatives focused on sourcing, cost management, and process enhancement.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and explore novel product opportunities.
- Drive accurate forecasting and market trend analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Develop and enforce efficient purchasing policies and processes.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, preventing overstocking or understocking.
- Regularly conduct inventory audits and present data-driven insights to leadership.
- Evaluate and onboard vendors based on reliability, pricing, and capabilities.
- Facilitate urgent purchases through local vendors when necessary.
Qualifications: - High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5-7 years of preferred experience as a warehouse/distributor buyer.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong grasp of purchasing procedures and policies.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software applications.
- Previous inventory control experience.
- Adaptable team player in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Valid driver's license and US work authorization required.
Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive annual salary: $78,000 - $95,000 DOE
