Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Acworth, Georgia is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.
Position Overview:
The position will be an important part of the Golf Operation.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests with an emphasis on attention to detail.
• Administer the tournament operations program using the Golf Genius software
program and monitor his tournament operations responsibilities.
• Merchandise apparel, equipment and accessories to create a positive shopping
experience for members and guests through effective merchandising techniques.
• Utilize the point-of-sale system for all merchandise transactions.
• Assist with ordering merchandise and processing special orders.
• Learn to conduct individual private golf lessons to all membership segments.
• Learn to provide a comprehensive club fitting experience by using TrackMan.
• Perform club/grip repair in an efficient and proper manner.
• Administer Junior Golf Program with support from Director of Instruction. Junior
program consists of Summer Camp, Clinics, and Junior Interclub League.
• Assist Director of Instruction with Ladies Clinics and Playing Lessons.
• Communicate effectively will all staff members and department heads.
• Organize the weekly newsletter to provide updated information to members.
• Utilize the Club website to provide updated tournament results and information
about upcoming programs and services available to the membership.
• Training and development of outside staff.
• Assist in overseeing all areas of Outside Operations (bagroom, staging area, cart
barn, and practice facilities).
• Play golf with members on a weekly basis, when the tournament calendar allows.
• Involved in budgeting process and preparing reports for Board of Directors.
Requirements:
The selected candidate must be a self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn the golf business and be exceptional.
Ideally possess strong leadership, and interpersonal skills.
The selected candidate shall have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as an Assistant
Golf Professional at a similar facility.
The individual must be a Class A PGA Member in good standing with the PGA of America.
In addition, a minimum of a four-year college
degree is preferred.
Compensation:
$18.00 – $22.00 per hour.
