Position Title: Commodity/Delivery and Sourcing Manager Location: Redmond, WA Pay Rate: $55/hr to $60/hr Duration: 6 months (Contract to hire) About the team: - Our Client project entity working to provide cellphone and internet access globally.
- Launching 3300 Satellites from now to 2028.
- They fall out of orbit for 5-7 years, so they also launch replacements for those.
Responsibilities: - Responsible for the coordination and completion of sourcing projects related to mechanical components for the Client Project.
- Oversees all aspects of sourcing projects including identification of vendors/sources, setting deliverable deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitors and summarizing progress of deliverables.
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of projects as needed.
- May require a bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Leads and collaborates with others.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Must-Have: - Experience negotiating long-term commercial agreements
- Supplier relationship management experience
- Experience or comfortable with operating in an ambiguous environment
- Experience using an ERP system (Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing is the tool our client uses)
- Seeking an individual capable of advancing supplier relations with a focus on mechanical and electrical components in the aerospace industry
- Experience in Negotiation
- Candidates should be willing to travel within the US, with potential trips to Mexico (currently restricted to US travel only).

- Someone who can move and negotiate quickly such as getting 20 parts negotiated rather than line item by line item
