Job description
The Partnerships Coordinator supports the Office of Partnerships and Outreach team with daily operational activities including database input and maintenance, event coordination, BTU Council assistance, and overall programmatic support. The Partnerships Coordinator will work closely with departments across campus to provide support and collaborate on anchor, partnership, and community engagement efforts.
Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.
Responsibilities and Duties
Database Support:
- Work across campus with faculty and staff to get partnership information entered the BTU Database.
- Input partner inquiries & conduct ongoing follow-up to track progress and outcomes.
- Support ongoing database updates including the annual update and the external feedback processes.
- Maintain the BTU Story Map by updating data annually.
- Compile and present annual and ongoing data to reflect on, evaluate, and impact future partnership work.
- Develop reports, as needed.
- Process and track usage of limited licenses across campus.
- Assist with the collection and organization of anchor data.
- Work with the Engagement & Data Manager and Office of Technology Services to make database updates and edits, as needed.
Event & Program Support:
- Support BTU Council and BTU Council Planning Committee (scheduling, material development, etc.)
- Support the annual BTU Partnership Awards nomination and review process and event.
- Work with presenters and the Communications & events team to schedule and support events including Lunch & Learns, vendor fairs, Tap into TU, Awards, and BTU on the Road.
- Support certification applications and follow-up tasks including the Carnegie Community Engagement Reclassification and Innovation and Economic Prosperity Designation.
- Support research, data evaluation and entry, and program development to support Towson University’s anchor mission, related to but not limited to economic inclusion efforts (local hiring & buying).
- Support the growth of TU’s partnership work and its accessibility to partners through new events, programs, research, and material development.
Fiscal Support:
- Monitor incoming BTU requests for ongoing support (transportation, enrichment, etc.) through the BTU Database.
- Track approvals/denials of requests and make notifications to associated faculty/staff.
- Process financial support requests (honorariums, meal tickets, budget transfers, etc.) with departments across campus.
- Process HR forms and payment related information for student employees supported by BTU.
- Coordinate BTU transportation and parking requests and serve as the primary point of contact with Transportation Services.
- Work closely with the Engagement & Data Manager to track overall funding requests and ensure budget alignment.
Team Support:
- Develop and distribute weekly team meeting agendas.
- Participate in weekly team meetings.
- Support/schedule cross-campus meetings with internal partners including Advancement, Admissions, and Civic Engagement & Social Responsibility.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of experience required.
- The selected candidate must have excellent time management and organizational skills; be a team player, strong written and verbal communication skills, and technology proficient with Microsoft Office and navigating web-based tools.
- Ability to organize projects independently, with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and time-sensitive issues for various stakeholders with time urgency while maintaining strong attention to detail, quality.
Salary and Benefits
$55k annually. Contractual employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage.
