Job Summary:
GoAuto, a leading name in the auto industry in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our team. As the Service Manager, you will oversee all service operations at our dealership, ensuring the highest level of service and profitability. This is a management role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians and skilled laborers to effectively and efficiently provide top-notch services. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a salary ranging from $40,000 to $100,000 per year, paid biweekly, based on experience.This role also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling and workflow
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of technicians and skilled laborers, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance services are performed in a timely, quality, and cost-effective manner
- Maintain accurate service records and reports, including parts inventory and labor costs
- Conduct regular meetings with team members to discuss performance, address any issues, and promote a positive work environment
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and finance, to meet overall dealership goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training or certification in automotive repair or management preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the auto industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
- Proven ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset
- Proficiency in computer software and tools, such as Microsoft Office and dealership management systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
