Job description
We are looking for a highly experienced, dependable Process Technician to join our automotive parts team. You will be responsible for the manufacturing and maintenance of parts and materials utilizing plastic injection molding. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to excel in a team environment.
Perform all required setup activities to ensure the molding process meets the requirements
Document processing changes, adjustments, problems or other action taken and notify quality department for any possible dimensioning re-verification and visual criteria needed due to process changes
Perform visual quality checks and monitor press cycle times; make changes as needed to improve or enhance product quality and efficiencies following proper change notifications
Perform startup operations on all machines and equipment
Effectively troubleshoot processing concerns
Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation when applicable
Perform complex troubleshooting of equipment/tooling and perform adjustments
Operate powered industrial equipment if needed
Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
Adhere to 5S standards
2-year technical degree or equivalent and 4 to 6 years of years of experience in plastic injection molding
experience driving powered industrial equipment (preferred)
Powered industrial equipment certification (preferred)
Hourly wage of 30 to 36/hr
