Job description
Vaco Boston has partnered with our client, a rapidly growing distribution company, that is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst. This company has seen exciting growth as of late approaching nearly $1billion in annual revenue. This individual will serve as a valued contributor to the company’s finance department and report directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day accounting function to ensure accounting activities are in compliance with US GAAP.
- Preparation of journal entries, accounts receivable, and accounts payable adjustments.
- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
- Maintain inventory reserves in accordance with US GAAP.
- Support the annual external audit
- Income tax preparation, including state apportionment schedules and shareholder tax distributions.
- Assist with ad hoc projects including: monitoring and improving internal controls, FP&A projects, and cost analysis.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting (audit/assurance), large public company, or distribution industry.
- Knowledgeable in US GAAP standards is a MUST
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Power BI preferred.
- Proactive, highly organized, with solid time management, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
