Position Summary
Coordinates daily operations of the Center including physician support, patient services, staff supervision, and organizational management. Participates in the strategic planning and overall development of the Center.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Works to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Provides management direction and assistance in resolving issues and complaints by Center physicians, patients and referring physician offices.
- Coordinates patient services, ensuring quality care is provided in an efficient and cost effective manner.
- Works with the medical director and clinical administrator on developing the strategic plan to grow the Center.
- Implements and monitors the developmental action plan.
- Schedules all support staff.
- Manages clinical Registered Nurses and medical assistant support staff of 12 to 15 people.
- Hires, trains, mentors, evaluates and terminates clinical and clerical support staff.
- Oversees the operation of two clinics consisting of ten exam rooms, three procedure rooms and two recovery areas.
- Manages clinical and administrative support staff of 8 to 12 people.
- Coordinates and maintains Center equipment and supplies within par levels.
- Notifies director of any facility related issues including the need for equipment repair or purchase.
- Completes new equipment request paperwork.
- Ensures patient safety, including while they are involved in interventional procedures performed within the Center.
- Monitors safety checks and that time outs happen on every procedure.
- Responsible for meeting BJH/JCAHO accreditation indicators for the Center. This includes ensuring the nurses are up today on their training/educational needs, compliance with infection control & safety regulations.
- Works closely with Center CQI faculty director to initiate new policies/procedures and quality control indicators through quality assurance and risk management programs.
- Maintains compliance with existing policies and procedures.
- Serves as the Center member to management committees and the WU Physician Clinical Administrator Committee.
- Implements committee decisions.
- Promotes and maintains effective communications and collaboration with WUSM faculty.
- Serves as the BJH on-site liaison.
- Ensures smooth patient process while implementing BJH protocols within the WUSM clinic.
- Manages the WUSM and BJH charge process as well as assisting to resolve all patient account inquiries.
- Ensures staff review the fee tickets and processes timely, all point of service collections are completed and appropriately deposited.
- Provides reports, analysis and maintains records as required.
- Obtains expert knowledge of all clinical systems used in the Center, including Allscripts electronic medical record, IDX scheduling and ordering systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Exceptional internal, external and customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of patient services.
- Organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A thorough understanding of what medical records, phone triage, front desk and insurance verification/precert positions entail.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of clinical office experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Salary Range
$66,700.00 - $103,400.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
