Summary:
Milan Laser is looking for a Design Assistant that is responsible for helping the Director of Store Planning complete a variety of tasks involved in the design, décor and décor upkeep of Milan’s retail and corporate locations. The candidate must be technologically savvy, detail oriented and have an upbeat, positive attitude. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate creative abilities and applied problem-solving skills, work in a team setting and achieve results through collaboration and sharing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in design development
Effectively maintain drafting and décor schedule
Source materials, furnishings, decor, fabrics, fixtures, and finishes
Follow up on orders, organizing deliveries and installations
Participate in expansion meetings
Responsible for both design related tasks, as well as drafting, and administrative/expediting duties related to our varied projects
Arrange and organize décor needs per clinic
Professional coordination and communication with internal and external teams
Establishing Clinics - Travel Involvement Expected
Requirements and Qualifications:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree or a broad Knowledge regarding Commercial Interior Design
Working knowledge of Google, Adobe Photoshop, & Canva
Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
Show excellent color sense and understand the basics of design.
Work well under pressure and with multiple project deadlines
Creative and artistic skills
Demonstrated ability to digitally draft floor-plans and décor plans
Proven ability to self-manage and demonstrate high level of professional maturity and integrity
Works well individually and with others
Good written and verbal skills
Good time management skills
Works with urgency and the ability to meet deadlines
