Job description
Baby Lucs of Carroll Gadens is looking to hire a Pizza Chef. Our project is a neighborhood pizzeria serving sicilian pies/slices, other menu items, and delicious things to drink.
The Pizza Chef will have experience working an Electric Oven.
Primary Duties:
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or food service environment
- Preparing pizza dough from scratch. Stretch & Shape pizza dough by hand
- Washing, Slicing, Chopping & preparing fresh daily
- Cooking, Baking & Preparing sauces & meats, such as chicken & beef
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, and adhere to food safety & standards
- Monitor inventory as up to code
Qualifications
- Work experience as a Pizza Chef or similiar role in a restaurant
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarilty with professional kitchen equipment & electric ovens
- Good time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of Food Hygeine
Essential
- A Passion for Pizza
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
- Provide legible communication.
- High school graduate or equivalent culinary training certificate.
- NYC Food Handlers
Physical Abilities
- Exert physical effort in transporting up to 50 pounds.
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
