Salary Statement:

The hourly rate for this position traditionally starts at $16.24 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

 

About the Indiana Horse Racing Commission (HRC):
It is the mission of the Indiana Horse Racing Commission to oversee pari-mutuel horse racing in Indiana, and to protect the integrity of the sport through active and diligent regulation.

 

Role Overview: 

The Test Barn Attendants shall be responsible for the collection and sealing of horse urine samples in accordance with chain of custody procedures and adhering to test barn operational procedures. Working hours and days are designated in concurrence with scheduled post times at each racetrack. This position is at the Hoosier Park facility in Anderson, IN. The position would be 5-6 hours per day starting at approximately 5:45 PM and lasting until the last race is finished. This schedule would be for racing on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, along with an occasional Monday. The candidate must be available to work all shifts listed above.

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana:

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period
