The general role of a MSHA Electrician – Electrical is to work in conjunction with Electricians and Electrical Foreman to install, maintain, and repair various electrical components within customer locations. This position will lead and mentor entry level electricians such as Electrical Apprentices.
This individual will work with both low and high voltage electrical applications, and work in a wide array of industries including Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Coal, Wind Energy, etc. This position must be flexible and willing to travel with overnight stays and work extended hours as needed.
The MSHA Electrician will report to the Department Manager - Electrical and will work primarily out of their assigned location.

Pillar Innovations is now accepting applications for an MSHA Electrician.
- Install, maintain and repair new/existing electrical systems in industrial facilities
- Read and follow electrical code, manuals, wiring and circuitry diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and other electrical specifications
- Trouble-shoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues, systems, and components
- Perform electrical isolation and lockout of low, medium, and high voltage equipment
- Work independently with minimal direction and supervision
- Repair and install large electrical equipment, industrial fans, large motors, generators, control systems, grounding systems,
- Utilize electronic test equipment
- Provide detailed paperwork and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping, billing and inventory
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a professional and workman-like manner
- Assist in other areas of the company and perform other duties as assigned

- Valid driver’s license required
- 2+ years of industrial electrical experience
- MSHA Electrical Certificate required
- Experience with low, medium, and high voltage systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, circuitry, and schematics
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and propose solutions for electrical issues for low - high voltage systems
- Must be dependable, trustworthy, and possess a positive and productive attitude
- Must be willing to train apprentices and less experienced electrical staff
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Able to travel and work a flexible schedule
- Willingness to undergo a background and drug screening is required
Working Conditions
- Walk / use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl / kneel
- Sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Perform duties on-site and underground at industrial locations
- Wear safety equipment: as per OSHA/MSHA requirements including but not limited steel toed and/or metatarsal shoes, hard hat, lanyard, fire retardant, protective eye wear,
