SALARY: $44,000 - $48,000 depending on experience.
NYS Retirement System Pension and excellent health benefits (including dental and vision).
Sick time which begins immediately with vacation time earned after six months.
LOCATION: City of Saratoga Springs NY - Housing Authority.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The following qualification(s) must be met and clearly stated on the application form:
- Four (4) years of experience in general building construction or maintenance activities involving application of carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades techniques
- Eligibility for an appropriate level New York State driver’s license at time of application; possession of license at time of appointment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
- Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm with weekly rotation of 'on call' availability required.
DUTIES:
- This class involves performance of skilled maintenance and repair tasks.
- Incumbents generally devote most of their time to work of a single specialized field but are required to occasionally perform maintenance tasks in other areas as the occasion demands.
- In this respect, the class differs from such classes as Painter Carpenter, Plumber, etc which limits incumbents to a single trade.
