Forklift Operator
We are looking for a Forklift Operator to be responsible for unloading raw material from delivery trucks, loading trucks with customer orders, receiving product using scanning and computer systems then storing using the FIFO storage and arrangement method. You will also be responsible for delivering material to production for further manufacturing, storage of the final product and making ready for final delivery to our customers.
What you will do
- Drive or operate lift truck safely and accurately to receive, store, stack, stage, handle, deliver, and ship material and finished product
- Conduct pre-operation safety inspections of truck and complete checklist prior to operating
- Engage in cycle counting to assure accurate location and availability of materials
- Understand and execute 5S practices of storage and cleanliness
- Long Haul Truck Admin
- Participate in continuous improvement methods
- Engage in sound warehouse practices that safeguard our materials from damage and contamination.
We believe you have
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- Minimum 6 months previous experience with sit-down; counter balanced trucks preferred
- 1 year previous warehouse shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to be trained as an authorized operator; (OSHA standard 29CFR1910.178(1))
- Basic computer skills
- Dependability and reliability
- Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and World Class Manufacturing processes
- Must be available to work 12-hour shifts of 36 hrs/week and 48 hrs/week
