Responsibilities

As a Veterinarian specializing in Small Animal General Medicine, your primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive care to our furry companions, ensuring their health and well-being. Your role is essential in diagnosing, treating, and preventing illnesses and injuries in small animals. Here's what you can expect in this position:

Responsibilities:

Medical Diagnosis and Treatment: Perform thorough physical examinations and utilize diagnostic tools to diagnose medical conditions and injuries in small animals. Develop and implement treatment plans, including surgeries, medication, and other therapies, to promote optimal health.

Preventative Care: Advise pet owners on best practices for maintaining their pets' health. Administer vaccinations, recommend wellness check-ups, and educate clients on nutrition and parasite control.

Surgical Expertise: Conduct surgeries as necessary, such as spaying/neutering, tumor removals, and dental procedures. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients throughout surgical procedures.

Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide critical care for injured or seriously ill animals during business hours or on-call shifts.

Client Communication: Build strong client relationships by effectively communicating diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care recommendations. Educate pet owners on how to care for their animals at home.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with support staff, including veterinary technicians and assistants, to provide seamless patient care and a positive client experience.

Maintain Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine by attending continuing education opportunities and pursuing specialization


Qualifications

. 1. State of Colorado DVM License: Candidates must be licensed Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in the state of Colorado or eligible for licensure.

2. Open to New Graduates: This client is open to new Veterinary School Graduates and will provide comprehensive training and ongoing support.

3. Reside in Colorado or Willing to Relocate: Applicants should either reside in Colorado or be willing to relocate to the area.

4. Experience-Based Compensation: Veterinarians with 3 or more years of experience will receive a higher salary.
