Job description
A part of the Envelop Group family of companies, Envelop Critical Environments (ECE) provides the late st high-end equipment and solutions in air flow technology to research laboratories, healthcare and life sciences facilities. ECE has partnered with Phoenix Controls, Strobic Air, Haakon, Cosatron , Aircuity and Tamco, leaders in the airflow controls systems, to integrate the best technology into these specialized settings.
Envelop Group's summer internship program is designed to develop high-potential students into industry leaders through hands-on experiences that connect interns' strengths and interests with the needs of the business.
This paid internship is a minimum of 10 weeks . It has flexible start and end dates May - August with the expectation for you to be in/around South Florida , Monday - Friday approximately 40 hours per week .
What you'll do as a Sales Engineer Intern:
- Shadow sales and service and u tilize technical acumen and sales strategy to maximize equipment sales.
- Assist with the selection , ordering, and tracking of materials for projects.
- Grow knowledge and understanding of products, industry trends, finance, competition, and business leadership.
- Educate customers on product offerings and other detailed information.
- Research prospects and identify key players.
- Update lead scoring and prospect information in Salesforce to ensure efficient lead management .
- Attend/ participate in field service and sales meetings/presentation s .
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering or related technical field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior exposure to HVAC equipment and fundamentals is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A growth mindset focused on continual learning and improvement.
- Local candidates are preferred. No relocation or housing stipend will be offered for this position.
- Must have valid US work authorization and not require sponsorship for an employment visa by Envelop Group at any time in the future.
- Travel to customer job sites is required , which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, and other variable environmental conditions.
