JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State State College of Medicine, PRO Wellness Department, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a part time Graphic Design and Digital Marketing Specialist (approximately 10-15 hours per week) to support marketing efforts for community-based health and wellness research and programming. This position is responsible for providing design and digital marketing support for both externally and internally funded research projects and programs within the Penn State PRO Wellness
(pennstatehershey.org/prowellness) portfolio. This position requires proficient graphic and web design skills to develop a variety of digital and print materials to support PRO Wellness programs (i.e., newsletters, flyers, toolkits, factsheets, web pages, etc). The candidate should have a high level of experience with standard graphic design software (Adobe InDesign in particular, as well as the larger Adobe Creative Cloud Suite), the Microsoft suite of applications, and design tools such as Canva. Experience working with website content management software and email management systems is highly preferred. The ideal candidates will have background in life sciences, marketing, communications, or a related field and will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the graphic and web design landscape. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position may also collaborate with the Penn State marketing and communications team as well as external partners to promote center initiatives, collaborate on projects, and/or support funding opportunities. The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills, and participate in, and support, team decisions and team responsibilities.
