Job description

Supports the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center’s Director of Finance with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, audit prepartion and endowment management.  Responsible for expense management, restricted fund management and supporting the Gift Processing team as needed.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Facilitates accurate and timely internal revenue and expense reports and metrics.  Works with accounting to ensure accurate reporting of foundations information to the general ledger.  Assists the Director of Finance in reviewing the monthly financial statements.
2. Assists with month end close.  Analyzes foundation specific general ledger accounts and helps prepare journal entries and account analysis.
3. Responsible for recording and reporting all Foundation expenses.  Supports staff in submitting and tracking vendor payments and payroll reimbursements.
4. Assist the Director of Finance with the annual operating budget and supports the annual audit.
5. Responsible for managing restricted fund inquiries, management, and report distribution.  Working with the Director of Finance, supports the endowment fund process.
6. Assists with the administration of the Mini Grant Program, including facilitating the application and awards process.
7. Provides support to the gift processing team as needed.
8. Provides database support as needed.
9. Helps review and develop policies and procedures.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred

2. At least three years’ experience working in a nonprofit required

3. Strong working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or another fundraising platform

4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

5. Excellent communication and organizational skills
