Summary: 

The Site Manager ensures all company, state, and federal safety and environmental standards for alternate fuels and materials are met. This position drives local Sapphire operations to maximize the use of alternative fuel and alternative raw materials. The position partners with the plant team to optimize the quality and quantity of AF/ARM for stable kiln operation. The Site Manager drives Sapphire's local team and contractors concerning CRH's Purpose, Value, Vision, and Code of Business Conduct.

What you’ll be contributing:  

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. 
• Manages on-site preprocessing: blending, shredding operation Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) and Process Engineered Fuel (PEF.)
• Oversees the relationship with Alternate Fuels (AF) and Additive Materials (AM) suppliers.
• Plans and manages deliveries to the plant.
• Tracks incoming AF and Administrative Rules of Montana (ARM) shipments and prepares weekly/monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Tracks the quality of services provided to plant: on time, in full deliveries, in specs quality of the AF&ARM, and invoiced correctly suppliers: on time, in full deliveries, invoiced correctly, and use of AF/ARM according to signed contracts.
• Manages out-of-specs deliveries.
• Acts as Point of Contact in communication between supplier and plant teams.
• Manages Sapphire operating cost. Coordinates with Plant controller and Sapphire controller to prepare expense budget and monthly reports for Sapphire activity.
• Assists Plant controller and Sapphire controller with monthly AF and AR billing.
• Seeks development opportunities to improve local operating conditions: safety, operating cost, logistics, and environmental. Locally drives the implementation of the improvement actions for Sapphire.
• Plays a leading role in onsite AM & AF trials.
• Engages with MTS/GTS and plant people in planning and executing trials for new AF/ARMs.
• Coordinates supply, processing, and blending activities for plant trials.
• Works closely with the plant’s management team on any MOC processes.
• Monitors deliveries of AM & AF, and prepare weekly/monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

• Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc 
• Minimum High School or GED
• Minimum 7 years of experience working within resource recovery or processing sites or industrial manufacturing or mining environments.
• Demonstrated ability to see initiatives through to completion
• Solid understanding of electrical & mechanical principles of equipment used in mineral processing
• Solid understanding of process engineering principles
• Proficient computer skills, including email and applications such as SAP and Excel
• Leads for Performance – Demonstrate and foster a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.
• Communications – communicate with impact and create an environment in which people communicate honestly and openly. Effective verbal and written communication skills

What to expect in a cement environment:

Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
