Unit Notes
- # of Suites - 1 EP/2 Cath
- Average # of cases per day 4 EP cases average daily - mix of ablation/EPS/implants; Cath includes Structural heart and in the two rooms, averages 6-10/day
- Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)
- Common Cases - afib ablations; svt; PVC; CRM implants; uses carto for mapping
- Experience or 'Must have' skills (number of years, any mandatory travel experience) - minimum 2 years in either Cath or EP; this is an EP position but the person out on leave did also cover cath call and cases in cath lab when possible. This would be bonus but not essential.
- Is scrubbing required for RNs? Not for this position
- Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Manager yes, does not take patients. Is a lead but is a small department
- EMR - Epic Cupid
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) M - F (10 hr shifts) - yes. There will be pretty set needs but staff is open to be flexible where they can. Need minimum 3 with goal of 4/day with at least one RN and one CIS each day. 10 hours Mon-Fri
- Weeknight/Call Requirements - available for call coverage for Cath Lab but not required;
- Weekend/Call Requirements - available for call coverage for Cath lab but not required
- Holiday/Call Requirements - available for call coverage for Cath lab but not required
- What is call response time? - 30 mins but not required if not taking call for Cath
- Floating Requirements : float to cath lab
- Scrub Color/Dress Code Provided
- Unit/Department specific orientation - yes
- Ideal candidate has these skills: EP RN Circulating experience; Cath Lab RN experience
- Willing to do both is ideal; EP coverage is essential.
- Starting at 13 weeks. Length will be dependent on FMLA Workman's Comp coverage needed.
