Sales Product Lead

Summary

Forge Nano Inc. is a forward-thinking company specializing in cutting-edge nano-scale solutions using our Atomic Armor technology. We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Sales Product Lead to join our team specializing in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) equipment, reporting to the Director of Sales and in close coordination with the Engineering team. In this role, you will act as a crucial intermediary between our Sales Team and Engineering Team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that product specifications, pricing, features, and future development efforts are seamlessly integrated and easily accessible for both the sales and engineering teams. As a Sales Product Lead you will be a key player in driving our equipment sales efforts and the owner of the roadmap to successful products and sales. If you have a proven track record in driving the execution of the building of highly technical equipment, being the point of contact to coordinate communication internally and with customers and developing technically accurate yet digestible customer-facing documentation on the equipment, we want to hear from you! Skills and Responsibilities

The Sales Product Lead will be responsible for tasks and skills, such as (non-exhaustive):

1. Roadmap Development and Enforcement:

• Develop and maintain a detailed product development roadmap in close coordination with Engineering that aligns with the company's strategic goals and delivers a well-designed and executed product, including base and customizable options.

• Summarize customer needs, including features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and internal objectives. Incorporate these into Products' Roadmaps.

• Ensure that roadmaps are well-communicated and understood by both Sales and Engineering teams.

• Track and communicate adherence to the Roadmap in order to improve the quality, on-time and on-budget delivery of equipment to the Customers.

• Provide insights / recommendations on roadmaps to the engineering, R&D, and business development teams on product and application strategy.

2. Product Specification Management:

• Serve as the single point of contact for the Engineering Team to translate sales team and customer needs into clear and actionable product specifications.

• Ensure detailed customer requirements and insights are meeting the existing product roadmaps, and how products could be efficiently tailored to meet customer needs.

• Establish consistent cost, price, margin, timing, spec sheets and documentation for each product type, and conduct regular training of Sales team on updates.

• Work with Marketing to maintain comprehensive and up-to-date product documentation to guide the development process.

3. Voice of Customer (VOC) Analysis:

• Drive customer performance and success by meeting or exceeding expectations of product offerings.

• Serve as an expert of our tools to drive business goals and outcomes for the customer, beyond basic tool features and functionality.

• Collect feedback from Sales Account Managers and directly from customers to understand their needs, pain points, and preferences to drive continuous improvement.

• Synthesize VOC data into actionable insights and recommendations for the engineering team.

• Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product development process.

4. Product Sale, Installation, Warranty, Service and Training:

• Resource for sales team and customers to address technical queries pre-sale, and customer concerns post sale (e.g., timing, change orders).

• Lead customer kick offs, onboarding, and create training plan that is aligned to the customer strategy and is confident in establishing clear goals and attainable success measures.

• Ensure that the sales team is well-equipped to effectively communicate product benefits to customers.

• Establish clear expectations, costs and pricing for warranty and long-term service contracts for the equipment.

5. Pricing Strategy:

• Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to develop and maintain competitive pricing strategies.

• Regularly review and update pricing structures in coordination with Sales Account Managers to optimize profitability.

• Periodic review of project budgets and bills of material (BOM) estimates to maintain competitive system cost.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with sales, engineering, operations, R&D, marketing and other relevant departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.

• Act as a liaison between sales and engineering/ops, bridging any gaps in understanding or communication.

• Collaborate effectively with the sales, R&D, and engineering teams to streamline customer experiences and product enhancements, particularly by identifying trends across customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field (MBA or technical background preferred).

• Proven experience in product management, particularly in the technical equipment, manufacturing or ALD industry.

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to grasp complex engineering concepts.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to analyze market trends and customer feedback to drive product improvements.

• Highly organized with excellent project management skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Work Environment

Work will predominately be in an office or work-from-home environment. The employee will be required to wear all appropriate safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, gloves, steel toe shoes, lab coat, and in the plant, a hard hat. Strict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required. Travel

Up to 15% travel may be required.

Compensation/Benefits

• $110,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
