Sales- Proposal Switchgear Engineer

Job description
Our client is a private equity-owned manufacturer of quick-ship and customized switchgear founded over 80 years ago. They are primed for aggressive expansion into new and existing markets. We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to support sales growth through vetting of quotation opportunities, project costing, and customer proposal preparation.
Sales- Proposal Switchgear Engineer Responsibilities:
- Responding quickly to quotation requests
- Promptly evaluate customer problems and present technical solutions using electrical expertise
- Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to provide customized solutions that meet customers' needs and to evaluate risk, profit, scope of supply, and overall project schedule
- Position the company as the customers' primary consultant and solution provider
Sales- Proposal Switchgear Engineer Qualifications:
- BA or BS with 2 + years of electrical power industry experience or Associate Degree with 4+ years of electrical power industry experience or HS diploma with 10+ years of electrical power industry experience
- Strong expertise in switchboards, switchgear, electrical distribution equipment/electrical and mechanical principles, control wiring, and control schematics; experience with low to high voltage from <600V up to 69KV
- Demonstrated success with good proposal process methods;
- Financial acumen and understanding of profit margins
- Strong problem solver and adept at relationships with internal and external stakeholders
