To this end, the Entertainment Network Designer requires an outstanding blend of creativity, technical mastery, collaboration, and a clear understanding of the direction to craft solutions to complex problems as a member of Disney Live Entertainment Technical Direction & Design group. You will come to the table with a good measure of technical experience, proficient in Cyber Security skills, and an ardent drive for continuous self-improvement. The primary tasks of this position will be to align Cyber Security solutions with Disney Live Entertainment’s existing and incoming control systems primarily at the Disneyland Resort.

You will report to the Show Control Designer Principal.

This is a Full Time role.

What You Will Do

Work with a larger Cyber Security team at the Disneyland Resort to:

• Conduct day-to-day maintenance and administration of host and network firewall solutions
• Assist in identifying root causes of operational issues, resolves problems and/or recommends short term and long-term mitigation of issues
• Optimize security tool deployments and introduce scalable processes across cyber security capabilities
• Specify, design, and build network security devices and other cyber components into industrial control systems and networks. Troubleshoot, maintain, and document the same
• Guide technical craft and other designers through cyber policies
• Serve as technical liaison to help advise and guide upper management and partner organizations (namely Design & Engineering Global Engineering & Technology and Disney Enterprise Technology groups)
• Help translate industry standard processes into Disney policies
• Stay current on industry trends and technological advances

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a technical role in support of designing, troubleshooting, and maintaining network security solutions
• Experience working with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems (current supported and future versions)
• Proven experience working with industrial control systems, networks, and protocols, Industrial routers/switches/firewalls, and experience monitoring cyber security, logging and patching.
• Proven experience remediating technology audits
• Ability to work individually with minimal direction and as an integral part of a team
• Proficient in all forms of communication—especially when conveying technical details to a non-technical audience
• Ability to efficiently resolve network issues with varying degrees of complexity
• Proven understanding of firewall technologies, network architectures, and network protocols
• Knowledgeable in network security procedures, standard processes, and implementation of network documentation and diagramming
• Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings. This includes occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays

Preferred Education

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $84,500 to $113,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
