Job description
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all commission employees, managing payroll-related records, and responding to employee inquiries regarding their pay. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a solid understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process timely and accurate payroll for all commission employees.
- Maintain records related to employee payroll, including tax forms, paycheck stubs, etc.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay in a professional manner.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with special payroll-related projects as needed, including internal and external audits.
- Support team in various administrative tasks, including maintaining employee files, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and record-keeping.
- Experience in a commission structure role.
- Solid understanding of payroll laws and regulations, including tax withholding and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- QuickBooks Enterprise experience Preferred
