Job description
MCR Health is looking for a Vice President of Medicine to lead our growing organization with over 35 geographically dispersed locations located in 3 counties. We are a Joint Commission, HRSA, and URAC accredited organization with active research grants.
This individual should have a well-rounded background in overseeing providers (physicians, APRN, PA-C, etc..) in a large multi-specialty ambulatory setting. Experience working in an FQHC environment is a plus.
MCR Health has 30+ sites with over 1,000 team members and 18 specialties and growing. This physician leader must bring experience in a similar-sized or larger organization in order to facilitate MCR's policies and programs effectively while working with urgency in a high growth and very fast paced company. This person must have experience interacting with their CEO and working directly with senior leaders, while also bringing a resume of demonstrated results positively impacting patient safety, quality of care, regulatory compliance, provider productivity, provider engagement, and operational outcomes.
As part of this role, you will:
- Oversee, lead, and manage all Physician Leaders in the Family/ Internal, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Hospitalist and Optometry divisions.
- Create strategic and operational plans to define, monitor, communicate, and optimize divisional performance, productivity, and revenue against established KPIs
- Assure patient care meets Joint Commission (TJC) and HRSA requirements as well HEDIS quality measures.
- Maintain a patient load to assure ongoing & current connections to our patients, medical workflows/processes, and the needs of the providers this role oversees.
What you need to bring to this role:
- Current M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school required
- Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine
- Current FL professional license & DEA required (or the ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Current BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification required
- Current local hospital admission privileges required (or the ability to obtain within 60 days)
- 10+ years' experience working clinically as a physician required
- 5+ years' experience as a Medical Director or physician leader required
- Strong background in Internal and Family Medicine required
- 5+ years' experience successfully working with HEDIS measures preferred
- Executive presence that is polished in both personal appearance and interactions
- Ability to lead, influence, and work collaboratively with others
- Leadership courage & humility to drive outcomes that are best for the organization

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks, projects, and demands with a sense of urgency and positivity
