Basic Job Functions:
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Associate performs necessary warehouse functions such as stacking, loading, and unloading products for inventory and distribution purposes. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for product movement, correct warehouse organization, and product modification.
Additional Functions:
- Ensures damage-free movement of product during loading, unloading, and stacking in the warehouses
- Reports damaged product to management
- Uphold company expectations of cleanliness
- Adjusts products as needed according to customer orders
- Maintain warehouse organization of products by stacking them neatly in compliance with safety standards
- Conduct Safety Checks as required by the management
- Primary forklift operator for the warehouse in day-to-day operations
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-year previous general labor and/or customer service experience.Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of previous experience in general labor, and have mechanical aptitude.
