Job description
Northwest Partners is looking to hire an experienced NIST Framework Architect to work with a premier client in the cybersecurity industry. This role is critical in leading our client's efforts to implement and maintain the NIST Cybersecurity Framework across their operations, ensuring the highest standards of cybersecurity to protect their data and infrastructure. Candidates must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship.
What YOU will do:
- Lead the adoption and implementation of the NIST Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity within our organization.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of current cybersecurity policies, practices, and technologies against the NIST framework to identify improvement areas.
- Develop a strategic plan for aligning our cybersecurity practices with the NIST framework, including setting goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and other relevant teams to ensure effective integration of the NIST framework into existing systems and processes.
- Provide expert guidance on the selection and implementation of security controls as outlined in the NIST framework.
- Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to ensure all employees understand their role in maintaining cybersecurity and compliance with the NIST framework.
- Stay abreast of updates to the NIST framework and relevant cybersecurity trends to ensure our practices remain current and effective.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, demonstrating the organization's progress and compliance with the NIST framework.
What YOU will bring us:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and its application in a business environment.
- Strong understanding of information security principles, including risk assessment, security controls, and incident response.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams across the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
