Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for Engineers / Project Engineers with 2-5 years of experience and a background in heavy construction, such as roads, bridges, deep foundations, water plants, wastewater plants, industrial electrical, maritime, and industrial facilities. Ideal applicants have strong personal initiative, outstanding planning and problem-solving talents, effective interpersonal skills, and an unrelenting dedication to safety.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, submit, and track all project submissions.
- Impact by reviewing, coordinating, submitting, and monitoring all project submissions.
- Plan projects by analyzing survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other topographic and geographical data.
- Manage project controls and performance with field people to track, regulate, and deliver effective outcomes.
- Create work cost reports for each project engaged.
- Inspect project sites to track progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Perform construction design, including form/pour drawings, main pick plans, and layout of pipe, equipment, and conduit.
Position Requirements - Keen awareness of industry-recommended practices, OSHA requirements, equipment, and QA/QC
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or related
- 7+ years of experience working in the heavy civil industry
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet fast-paced, changing schedules and priorities
- Local travel (within 1-2 hours)
Additional Skills & Experience & Certifications - OSHA 10-Hour Certification, a plus
- Marine construction experience, a plus
