Staff Accountant – Journal Entries – Advanced Excel – Reconciliations

Are you an experienced Accountant with GL accounting, QuickBooks, and strong Excel experience?  If so, then we are working on a Staff Accountant role that would be a great fit for your background!

A small retailer in the Valley is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team.  Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for debits, credits, bank reconciliation, financial reporting tracking, special projects, and month-end close.  To be successful in this role, the Staff Accountant should be flexible in communication, a team player, and ok with pitching in to do administrative tasks to support the organization.  Does that sound like you or someone you know?  If so, then please read the full job description below to see if this would be a good fit!

What do you need for this Staff Accountant role?

• 4 years of accounting experience
• Advanced Excel
• Experience with GL accounting and month-end close
• Experience with QuickBooks

What will you do in this Staff Accountant role?

• Journal entries, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and prepare balance sheet schedules
• Prepare various financial reports
• Track financial activity
• Assist with AP, AR, and collections
• Partner with the Controller over all aspects of financial operations
• Assist with process improvement initiatives
• Assist with office and administrative tasks as needed
