Tax Accountant / CPA

Job description

This is one of just six salaried professionals who provide business services to the founder/CEO and family.   The majority of   business is related to real estate development and investment properties, with 20+ entities including 2 internationally.  

In addition to standard tax preparation for the businesses and owners, the Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance for investments, researching and managing property/development tax credit options, strategizing and planning to minimize tax liabilities, and supporting other tax initiatives.  

We are seeking a tax expert who can work independently to ensure all tax-related matters for the family office are handled thoroughly.   You would work closely with the owner, other parties such as 3 rd party investment and legal teams, and an internal accounting department.   Ideally, we are looking for a CPA with expertise in real estate accounting and experience working with HNW individuals.

The office is located in Mount Pleasant and there will be times when working in the office is required.    Benefits include 100% paid healthcare for employees, PTO and paid holidays, and a 5% match of 401K contributions.
