In support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and the Regional Network Enterprise Center for the National Capital Region (RNEC-NCR), we are currently seeking a Senior Applications Developer.
As a Senior Application Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust, efficient, and scalable applications. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
Responsibilities: 1. Software Development: Develop, test, and maintain complex software applications, ensuring they meet performance, security, and functionality requirements. 2. Architecture and Design: Lead the architectural design and provide technical expertise to create scalable and efficient application solutions. 3. Code Review: Review code written by other team members and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and standards. 4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with business goals. 5. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve software defects and issues, optimizing application performance as needed. 6. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for applications, making it easy for team members to understand and maintain the codebase. 7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in software development and implement them in projects to enhance efficiency and quality. 8. Project Management: Lead or contribute to project planning, scoping, and estimation, ensuring timely and successful project deliveries. Qualifications: 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. 2. Experience: 10 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in application development and at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. 3. Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages relevant to the job, such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. 4. Software Development Tools: Familiarity with development tools and frameworks, version control systems, and integrated development environments. 5. Architecture and Design Patterns: In-depth knowledge of software architecture and design patterns. 6. Database Management: Experience working with databases, both relational and NoSQL, and a strong understanding of SQL. 7. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to resolve complex technical issues. 8. Teamwork: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 9. Project Management: Experience in project management, including Agile or Scrum methodologies. 10.
