This candidate will have a passion for exceptional hotel service and who can express that belief in an atmosphere of spontaneity and authenticity. Bell Attendants are in constant communication with the Front Office and Valet to ensure guests are escorted and their luggage and personal items are transported to and from the guest rooms efficiently. As the first and last impression of the Thompson hotel, this high-profile role carries a special responsibility.
- Greets all guests passing through lobby and offers them assistance
- The Bell Attendant transports luggage to the guest room for arrivals and transports luggage for departing guests to the hotel entrance or into temporary storage.
- The Bell Attendant also provides arriving guests with a hotel orientation.
- Delivers luggage to room upon check-in and picks up luggage from room upon departure, moving the luggage to storage or the Front Drive. Maintains proper records of deliveries and pick-up
- Assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
- May perform errands for guests and the hotel that may require local travel off of the hotel property
- All other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
- Must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will also have a warm welcoming smile, a positive attitude and be knowledgeable about the local area
- Refined verbal communication skills.
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
- Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
- Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
- Ability to tolerate moderate amounts of walking.
