Job description

Royal Blues Hotel and Chanson Restaurant, a prestigious luxury boutique hotel and fine dining establishment, are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the entire operation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Relais & Châteaux standards, along with expertise in facilities management, food and beverage (F&B) operations, revenue management, and a deep knowledge of wine. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills to maintain the property's reputation for excellence and ensure continued growth and profitability, with an unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Overall Property Management:

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire operation, including the hotel and restaurant.
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational standards to ensure exceptional guest experiences and adherence to Relais & Châteaux guidelines.
  2. Financial Management and Revenue Optimization:

    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the property.
    • Implement revenue management strategies to maximize profitability and optimize room rates and restaurant revenue.
    • Analyze financial performance and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and cost-saving initiatives.
  3. Facilities Management:

    • Ensure the effective maintenance and upkeep of the property, including guest rooms, public areas, and restaurant facilities.
    • Oversee capital improvement projects and renovations to enhance guest satisfaction and maintain the property's luxury standards.
  4. Food and Beverage (F&B) Operations:

    • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to ensure the highest standards of service and culinary excellence at Chanson Restaurant.
    • Develop innovative F&B concepts and experiences to attract and retain guests.
  5. Wine Expertise:

    • Serve as the resident wine expert, leveraging extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and vintages to enhance the wine program at Chanson Restaurant.
    • Utilize deep knowledge of wine to curate an exceptional wine list and enhance the overall dining experience.
    • Conduct regular wine training sessions for staff to improve their knowledge and service skills.
    • Foster relationships with wine distributors and producers to source unique and high-quality wines for the restaurant.
  6. Guest Relations and Quality Assurance:

    • Foster a culture where guest experience is of paramount importance, ensuring that every aspect of the operation is geared towards exceeding guest expectations.
    • Implement systems and processes to gather guest feedback and actively seek opportunities for improvement, demonstrating a commitment to continuous enhancement of the guest experience.
    • Empower staff to prioritize guest satisfaction and provide personalized service, encouraging them to go above and beyond to create memorable moments for guests.
    • Lead by example in delivering exceptional service and addressing guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, setting a standard of excellence for the entire team.
    • Collaborate with department heads to identify trends and patterns in guest feedback and develop strategies to enhance the overall guest experience, ensuring that the property remains a preferred destination for discerning travelers.
