Manager, Electrical Engineering

Seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineer for a leading national provider of federal defense drones, security drones, and public safety drones. The current team includes approximately 3 EEs plus a Sr EE. The Manager Electrical Engineering will be working with an innovative team of experts specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of tether-powered aerial solutions.

The position is 100% onsite in Sanford, FL (although "occasional" opportunity to work remotely as needed, may be available in the future.) Our client is looking to onboard on a Direct Hire as soon as possible. Relocation assistance is available.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Spearheading high-power and control electronics development for drone systems
- Managing all aspects of PCB design, from schematic capture to testing AND team management
- Conducting detailed electronics documentation and failure analysis
- Mentoring team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration
- Contributing creatively to new features and products in our product roadmap

Required Skills

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
- BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering (or comparable)
- Experienced in electronics packaging and advanced PCB layout techniques
- Skilled in integrating RF systems and mitigating associated noise (MIL-STD-461)
- Experience with drones/UAS, RC, or robotics systems a bonus
- Self-starter with effective problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Adaptability in a high-tempo and rapidly shifting environment
