Job Details:

This role holds significant visibility within our finance organization, serving as a vital part in providing financial analysis and decision support to our corporate management teams. Responsibilities encompass financial modeling, forecasting, reporting, business analysis, and various projects to ensure informed financial decision-making. This position will be based at our headquarters in College Station, initially requiring more onsite presence with a transition to a hybrid/remote work setup.

Essential Job Functions:

Financial Planning and Analysis (~80%)
- Manage budgeting, reporting, and business analysis for company business units.
- Collaborate with the CFO and business partners to develop long-range strategic plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
- Support monthly financial closing processes, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.
- Conduct cash flow analysis and prepare forecasts.
- Partner with business leaders on productivity and cost initiatives, enhancing reporting rigor and driving process improvements.
- Analyze industry data and trends to drive growth and evaluate market competitiveness.
- Streamline and enhance management reports through increased automation.
- Assist with implementation of budgeting/forecasting and reporting software tools.
- Prepare departmental reporting packages and provide critical insights into business unit performance.
- Conduct financial modeling, analysis, and ad-hoc projects as needed.

General Finance & Accounting (~20%)
- Verify accuracy of accounting records and analyze variances.
- Support project accounting and reconcile revenue, cost, and WIP on a periodic basis.
- Assist with general accounting and financial analysis.
- Support independent audit processes (year-end close).
- Assist with cost allocations and maintain project costs accurately.

Qualification Requirements:
- Highly motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and accounting principles.
- Preferred experience in project accounting and purchase order management.
- Exceptional proficiency in managing, analyzing, and summarizing large data sets in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
