Job description

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Security Manager to provide Physical Security support for the 39 IOS (US Air Force Cyber & IO schoolhouse). This position will be located at Hurlburt Field, Florida and will be an onsite position.

 

Duty Hours: Mon – Fri 0730 – 1630 (1 Hour lunch). Hours may shift depending on customer’s mission requirements.

• Provide security administrative support and technical advice Programs and emerging mission areas.
• Maintain a working relationship with Unit Registrar and Course Support personnel. to ensure standardized student enrollment, in/out processing and provide daily security support.
• Provide classification marking guidance, interpretation to policy (i.e. DoDM 5205.07 Vol 1-4) and assistance on all disciplines of security (e.g. physical, personnel, information, industrial) as they relate to unit mission.
• Ushers student/staff paperwork through the security clearance process to completion.
• Schedules indoctrinations and badge processing for students/staff
• Provides escort duties for uncleared visitors as necessary.
• Assist in the development of operations security (OPSEC) plans, transition plans, emergency action plans, program protection plans, transportation plans, security CONOPS, standard operating procedures, and any other security documents as needed.
• Develop and assist with security education and training for assigned personnel.
• Provide security-related information to the division for briefings, meetings, and conferences to include preparing and coordinating security-related briefing materials.
• Provide security-related briefing to staff and students as required.
• Assist with recording and tracking security program action items, suspense’s, and processes.
• Assist with mail preparation and distribution within the organization (Activity Distribution Officer (ADO) Representative)
• Conduct random security inspections at facility entry and exit points.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing packages for unauthorized material.
• Ensure proper operations, safekeeping, and access to secure vault; maintain all logs and records of visitors.
• Ensure vault alarm is functioning; provide/train users for operation.
• Assist with the planning of any construction/modification/maintenance within the secure vault.
• Assists higher-level specialists with the implementation and execution of personnel security matters in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, directives, and issuances.
• Provides recommendations to security specialists and program officials on appropriate courses of action to resolve and/or respond to specific questions.  

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for all student related security issues. This individual will also maintain records of security training for assigned personnel

- Clearance required: Current TS/SCI

- High School diploma with 3 to 6 years experience (or commensurate)

- Experience compiling and tracking data; providing basic computer assistance; scheduling meetings; typing correspondences; providing standard information

- General knowledge in Personnel, Information, Industrial, Physical security disciplines

- Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

- Ability to work effectively in small and large team settings to solve complex problems.

- Experience supporting Personnel Security Programs

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- 2 to 5 years experience in or working with the military.

- 1 to 3 years DISS/JPAS experience

- Comfortable with Public speaking

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

USD $60,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.
