Sabio Systems has an immediate need for a contract Payroll Specialist with one of our clients in Beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. This will be for a larger nonprofit organization dealing with grants, funding, and donations. If you like working for a company that has a vision and a great cause in mind then look no further.

Hybrid – 3 days in office 2 days remote

Hourly Wage during contract: $26-$29 Hourly

Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist:

· Maintain employee records in payroll system.

· Regularly communicates with and updates payroll staff about required withholding and deductions. (offsite payroll)

· Processes bi-weekly payrolls and any additional payrolls as needed, including making required payments to benefit providers.

· Assists Controller and CFO with managing 401k plan and required filings.

· Prepares/uploads payroll journal entries into accounting software.

· Performs quarterly reconciliations of employee benefits and paid time off accruals.

· Remove exiting employees from payroll software, benefits and assists with paperwork.

Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:

·3-5 years minimum experience as a nonprofit payroll specialist

· Working knowledge of scholarship payments and grants (REQUIRED)

· Ability to cut 50-200 checks weekly

· Process credit card transactions (refunds included)

· Vendor management

· Knowledge set up and cleanup of company payroll before sending to agency
