Job description
Under the direction of the Director of HR, the HR Assistant will work with our third-party recruiting firm to manage our full cycle recruitment, from identifying potential hires to interviewing and evaluating candidates. Responsibilities include sourcing candidates online, updating job ads and conducting background checks. Assisting the Director of HR with our AA/EEO requirements and enforcement. In addition, the HR Assistant will assist day-to-day HR responsibilities with functions that achieve organizational goals and to ensure that the company’s compliance obligations are met. The ideal candidate possesses a solid ethical framework and understanding of confidentiality and demonstrates integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Assist third-party recruiters in maintaining ATS platform
- Assist in AA/EEOC requirements and initiatives
- Coordinate new hire orientation
- Assist with off-boarding experience
- Conduct new employee orientation
- Prepare/Distribute materials for employee onboarding
- Assist in administering and updating employee benefits
- Maintain employee personnel files and conducts ongoing audits
- Assist with employee moral
- Track and maintain inventory
- Assist in updating HR manuals and procedures
- Assist in compiling information to ensure agency compliancy
- Assist in benefits administration and maintenance
- Assist Director of HR as needed with various projects
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Human Resources and recruiting experience a plus
- Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and maintaining ATS platforms (preferable Greenhouse)
- Ability to utilize software and work with databases; some experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task, meet pressing deadlines, and anticipate needs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate work with others
- Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and superior knowledge of all MS Office Suite programs; accurate reporting skills
- Excellent planning, organization, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to adapt and adjust to changing environment
- Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels, inside and outside
